Day 2: Accra City Tour

After breakfast, depart from your hotel for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. Visit the Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum, Independence/ Black Star Square and the National Museum. After lunch in a local Ghanaian restaurant, you will end your tour at the Arts Centre where you can try out your bargaining skills to shop for artifacts or souvenirs from Ghana and West Africa. Depart for a drive to Akosombo, where you will enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Volta Boat Cruise (Saturday And Sunday)

Volta Boat Cruise

After breakfast, depart to cruise the largest man-made Lake in world, the lake volta. You will enjoy and dance to the sweet sounds of live highlife music played by the ships resident band while cruising. Enjoy the calm of the lake and the beauty of the mountain scenery and surroundings. Lunch will be served on board. Return to Accra in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: Ada Beach

Ada Beach

After breakfast, depart to Ada on the Eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region. Visit the village of Azizanya n the estuary of the Volta River. You will be welcome by the elders in the village and will take you through their fishing culture. Spend the remainder of the day engaging in any of the following: Canoeing, jet skiing, pedallo or simply relax and enjoy the view. Experience nightlife with the locales. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Cape Coast- Elmina Castle

After breakfast, depart for a drive to the Central Region to explore the Forts, Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. Experience the history of slave trade, the impact of which it’s still felt beyond the shores of Africa today. Visit the Cape Coast castle built by the Swedes in 1653 and later taken over by the British. The castle also houses West African Historical Museum that worth exploring.

After lunch, visit the Elmina Castle built by the Portuguese in 1482 as St. George’s Castle. This castle was the first to be built in Sub-Saharan Africa. Admire the colourful Harbour nestled just below Elmina Castle. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Busua Beach Resort

Day 9: Accra Exploring

After breakfast, depart your hotel and explore the city of Accra. Visit the Makola Market being one of the biggest in West Africa, where you can try out your bargaining skills. Have lunch at either a Ghanaian or continental restaurant in Osu and return to your hotel for a bit siesta. Dinner and overnight.
