Arts And Crafts Tour

Ghana is renowned for the best in authentic African Arts and Crafts. These come in wood. Metals, textiles, cements, bamboo, conservative and innovative beads, sculptures, ceramics, woodcarvings, brass rocks, jewellery, etc, in various shapes and styles that includes abstracts and animates. These indigenous and skilled craftsmen in the country can be found spread in various street corners in virtually every village, town and city. Arts and crafts are an integral part of everyday life in Africa and in Ghana. It can be identified with all the cultures of the people. Their visual and communicative symbols portray the philosophical thinking and the way of life of Ghanaians.

Day 1: Arrive In Accra (Ghana)

Ghana Airport

Arrive in Accra, Kotoka International Airport. Transfer from the airport to your hotel by our team for a welcome greetings and orientation. Overnight and dinner at your hotel.

Day 2

Tour in the city of Accra to enable participants to purchase drums. After lunch in one of our local Country Kitchen. We start with the day activities by heading towards the Institute of cultural Studies for our first drumming and dancing lesson.

Day 3

Day begins with our second lessons of drumming and dancing at the University of Ghana, Legon. Lessons will be continue after lunch at Golden Tulip, where both local and continental dished are served. Then return to the hotel rest for the day and take dinner later at the Venus Restaurant.

Day 4

Drumming Lesson

Depart from Accra to Aburi Botanical Gardens where the continuation of lessons in drumming will take place.

Day 5

Drumming Lesson

Visit the Accra Cultural Centre for more lessons in drumming. Hang out with some of your lessons masters and friends after the afternoon break.

Day 6

Depart to Cape Coast to visits several fishing villages and some famous 16th century castles. A tropical fruit drinks will refresh the body after a long stressful day at the Hans Cottage.

Day 7

kakum canopy walk

This day begins with a trip to the Kakum National Park (360 square Kilometers) of natural rain forest and home to many rare birds, butterflies and monkeys. The programme continues after lunch with a drumming session at the Oasis Beach Resort. The day activities will be climaxed with dinner and live music at the Kokodo Guest House.

Day 8


We take a day off for the drumming and dancing and spend the day at the Anomabo Beach Resort. The rest of the evening can be spent relaxing at the Kokodo guest house or spending the evening at a night club.

Day 9

Today we will be having a 2 hours workshop drumming and dancing at Oasis guest house in Cape Coast. The rest of the day will be spent at the Oasis Beach Resort. The evening will be spent at the Kokodo Guest house with a barbecue and live band music.

Day 10

Manhyia Palace

Early departure to Kumasi 250 km north of Cape Coast through Assin Manso. The day's trip will take us to the Manhyia Palace, seat of the Ashanti Kingdom and end the day in war museum.

Day 11

Arts Center

A visit to the crafts villages of Ejisu (kente), Ahwiaa (carvings) and Ntonso (adinkra). After lunch, we continue to some of the Market for two hours. We return to the hotel for dinner. Our drumming and dancing lessons continue at the Kumasi Cultural Centre.

Day 12

Check out of the hotel after our breakfast to start our trip to Ada Foah, via Nkawkaw, Koforidua, Somanya, Afienya and Dawenya. We take a break and route for a picnic. We spend the rest of the day at the Manet Paradise Beach Resort.

Day 13


The day begins with a boat trip from Manet Paradise through the Islands and a walk to one of the village along the coast to socialize with natives. We trek back to the hotel after morning activities for lunch. Drumming and dancing lessons continue after lunch. A buffet dinner at the resort will end the day activities.

Day 14

We check out of the beach resort and head back to Accra. We will still have some few minutes shopping.
