Day 1: Arrive in Accra

Arrive in Accra, Ghana. You will be picked up by our team and transfer to your hotel for a welcome drink and orientation. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Hike and Bike Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart from Accra to Aburi. Visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens. The gardens were originally created in 1890 as an agricultural and scientific research. The garden has impressive collections of tropical flora which attracts birds and butterflies.
aburi hiking Arrive at the reception for a mountain bike to explore the bush and the forestland. Discover remote villages as well as colonial style houses in the beautiful Aburi area with our bikes or on foot. With a sight guide, you will make a choice on single trails, dirt and tarred roads with different level of physical skill. This will take one to five hours with bike depending on your strength and two hours and more on foot. Hike or bike through the various towns and villages on the Akuapim range to Akosombo. After lunch, we embank to Boti and Akaa sanctuaries for adventurous hiking or mountain bike touring around the area to the famous Umbrella Rock and the Botifalls. The relatively quite path is for those biking around the area with the waterfalls as their refreshing point. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your hotel in Aburi.

Day 3: Cruising On Ghana’s Man – Made Lake

After enough rest and breakfast, depart for a scenic drive to Akosombo port to cruise on the largest man – make lake in the world, the Volta Lake. While cruising, you will dance to the sweet melody sounds of live highlife music played by the ship’s resident band. Relax and enjoy the calm of the lake and warmth in the beauty of the mountain scenery and surrounding. Get the opportunity to watch different kind of birds as cruising. Lunch will be served on board consisting of verity of local and continental food. Return to Accra in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: Traditional Coastal Canoe Fishing Tour

Prepare for an early morning departure from the hotel to James Town after breakfast. Where we will experience how the people, traditionally uses canoes for fishing. The people are known for their frequent daily fishing activities. Giving both locals and visitors the opportunity to join in on a day’s fishing experience. Start out in early hours by pushing out and rowing the long hard built canoes, casting out the nets, rowing the canoes back to the shore and joining a large number of people to manually pull the nets back to shore with lots of singing and cheering. The main fish caught along Ghana’s coast are Snapper, Grouper, Herrings and other tropical fish. We end the tour with the experience on how the women preserve the fishes brought. Experience nightlife with the locales before returning back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Deep Sea Fishing Tour

After breakfast, depart very early to Takoradi in the Eastern Region to start our sailing in the blue marlin. The typical fishing day here is a long one, about 10 hours not because there are long runs to fishing grounds, but because the captains are committed to covering as much group as possible during the day. The boats usually leave the dock at 7:30am and begin touring after an hour run to depths of 500 feet. Food and drinks will be served in the boat because we will sail for a long time. World record size Yellow fin and Bigeye Tuna show up in the Ghana’s marlin waters. Several I.G.F.A. tackles, all African and Ghana record Yellow fin and Bigeye tuna. Occasionally, Wahoo, Mako sharks and sailfish are also caught on the marlin lures as by – catch. Game fishing in Ghana, is ultimate true African experience. Imagine the excitement and intrigue of fishing amongst canoes and travelling through native African villages from your hotel. Its adventure and experience like no other.

Day 6: Nzulezu Stilt Village Tour

After breakfast, we prepare for an early morning departure to Nzulezu a village situated in the middle of Lake Tadane. It is supported entirely by stilts made of coconut tree and other hard woods with raffia walk way. We will travel via canoe from a small dock in the village of Beyin which is one hour away before entering Nzulezu village. We will have the opportunity to meet the chief and his elders for a warmth welcome. The village has only one “main street” to and from the village. Visit the only school (K.G to Grade school) in the village in the village to interact and experience how the kids relate to each other. If the children plan to go further after grade 6, then must enrol at the public school in Beyin and commute via canoe everyday. Experience how the older children are enrolled into the Junior and Senior High Schools back on the shore of the village of Beyin. It’s quite fascinating seeing them rowing back from school with their books, shoes and other staffs neatly packed at the end of their rafts as counter weight. Return back to Beyin for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Beyin- North

Depart Beyin after a healthy breakfast to the Northern part of Ghana. Arrive at the North in the late afternoon. Visit the sacred Groves which are traditional nature reserves created around shrines. The Jaagbo Shrine covers 25 acres of untouched vegetation around the Joagbo fetish. Explore the sheltering medicinal herbs near extinct and sometimes mysterious plants. Dinner and overnight at Katanga Guesthouse.

Day 8: Larabanga Tour

After breakfast, prepare to depart for an adventurous Larabanga Mystery Stone. Lying at the outskirts of the town is the legendary Larabanga Stone. The locals call it mystic because, it is claimed; whilst the main road was being constructed, whenever the stone was moved to make way for the construction, it mysteriously moved back to its original position on several occasions.
Visit the town of Larabanga after lunch with its famous mosque, is believed to the oldest Islamic building in Ghana dated back to about 1639. The mosque was built of clay in Sudanese style architecture has supporting wooden beams, jutting out of the walls. The mosque is revered as an Islamic holy site. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Embark To Accra

Depart from hotel after breakfast to Accra. Make a stop at Hohoe and experience it famous traditional centre, where natural herbs are used for treatments. Continue to south of Ho, the road to Akosombo, and the Akosombo Dam, which created the vast lake Volta comes into view. The lake can be cruise to the Dodi Island. Visit the Shei Hills Resource Reserve, which combines nature, conservation rich cultural interest and archaeological sites with splendid scenic beauty. Arrive in Accra, check in a hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Leisure And Departure


Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Spend some leisure time or go for a last minute shopping of souvenirs at the Arts Centre. Return to check – out and transfer to the Air port for check in and departure.
